40 Days For Life Lent 2012
If you could save a life by praying for an hour, would you? You can, by joining other people of faith and conscience in the Baltimore area prayer vigil at Hillcrest clinic on Jonnycake Rd. and Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville, February 22 to April 1, 2012. To date, more than 400,000 people from 13,000 congregations in over 330 U.S. cities have participated in such vigils. This is not a protest or demonstration; it is peaceful, prayerful public witness. We pray for the deceived mothers, the babies, men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion and do not yet know the love and mercy of God, the staff of the clinic, and our leaders who misguidedly support abortion. St. Paul's will be trying to fill 12 hours each Thursday during Lent but you are welcome to participate at any time. Please join us!
Visitation Maternity Home Project:
The Bishop has asked Pro-Life leaders at St. Agnes Church, across from Hillcrest clinic, to provide a real choice for women facing unplanned pregnancies, with housing and support to meet all needs surrounding pregnancy and birth of the baby. Surrounding parishes are called on to help with this ministry. Do you have a home you could share with a mother-to-be, or could you donate your time or services to help with transportation, meals, errands, respite. Would you like to be part of a prayer group for the project?
