Ministries are parish volunteers who reach out to serve others in a variety of ways.  Celebrating at Mass as lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers or altar servers, or helping behind the scene like the altar guild and tabulators, all volunteers are welcome to share their time and talents.

Ministries
  • Altar Guild (Help Clean the Church)

The Altar Guild  is a group of  volunteers who help clean the church, wash altar clothes, and help with special projects, including decorating the church for special occasions.  Volunteers work in teams, and schedules are very flexible.  For some fun fellowship, grab your cleaning cloth and meet us at the church!  Please call office for details.

  • Altar Servers

Both boys and girls, grades 4 and above are invited to be altar servers.  Training is provided, and you serve at the Mass of your choice. There are three levels of altar servers at St Paul's ~ novice, acolyte and St Paul server. St Paul's also has adult altar servers.

  • Catechists (Religious Ed teachers)

Parents are the first and primary teachers of the Catholic faith, and the church assists parents with this great responsibility.  Catehcists 'echo' the Word, and volunteers are always needed.  Age 13 (assistants) and adults share our Catholic faith in classroom settings. Class course books are provided, and training for volunteers is available.

  • Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic ministers are age 18 and above, and serve Holy Communion at Mass of your choice. Training is  provided and scheduling is through the main office. What a beautiful ministry - to share the Body and Blood of our Lord!

Eucharistic ministers also visit our home-bound parishioners.  If you or someone you know  is sick, or who would like a visit, please contact the office.

  • Lectors

Lectors are volunteers who proclaim the WORD of God (Scriptures from the Bible) at the Mass of their choice.  Lectors must be at least 16 years old and usually serve once every 4 – 6 weeks.

  • Music Ministry

Our music ministers give generously of their time and talent in rehearsing for and providing music at our liturgies.  We invite and encourage your participation in any and all of our music choirs. A traditional choir with organ music celebrates weekly Liturgies (usuallly the 11:30 AM Sunday Mass),  and at most funeral masses. The children's choir celebrates once a month at the 9:30 AM Sunday Mass. The contemporary choir celebrates weekly liturgies, usually at the Saturday 5PM Mass. All choirs share their talents September through June.

  • Pastoral Ministries
  • Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is an international organization of lay ministers who gather to pray and do works of service.  Founded in Ireland in 1921, there are now over 3 million members.  Members attend weekly meetings, do a minimum of two hours of Apostolic work each week, and recite the Legion prayer daily.
