The marriage covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of their entire life, which is ordered by its own nature to the good of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of offspring, has been raised, between the baptized, to the dignity of sacrament by Christ the Lord.

The parish has also established several guidelines for the celebrating the sacrament.

S o God created man in His own image,  male and female He created them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, rings2.jpeg and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." [Genesis 1:26 – 28]

The Sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love that Christ loves His Church. The grace of the Sacrament perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity, and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life. [Catechism of the Catholic Church Reference: 1661]
