Were They Smarter than a 6th Grader?
On Sunday, 6 April, Mr R. and his 6th grade Religious Ed class challenged the high school youth to a contest on the Old Testament. Mr R. hosted the event, asking the quiz questions and the first group to ‘buzz’ tried to answer the question. The 6th graders were well in the lead, as the high school youth were embarrassed by the younger youths’ knowledge.
Slowly the high school youth nudged forward, only to be zapped with penalties! It was a tough contest, but after a full hour of intense seesaw scores, and only minutes to go, Hugh Taylor from the high school team, lunged the team ahead by a 6 point score! In the end, all enjoyed snacks.
And as for the score....well, the high school team had 101 points, but the 6th graders were in two teams...so adding the 2 sixth grade teams totals - means that ALL 6th grade points (167) certainly outscores the 101 high school points....and the question remains - R U smarter than a 6th grader....a rematch is likely to follow....
